Are you dealing with hyperpigmentation or like me, or are simply looking to improve your skin tone? Here are some products which have worked for me which you can try adding into your routine! The products featured below are very gentle products which are safe to use up to 2x a day.
If you are looking to introduce 2 different treatment toners/serums, you can consider applying 1 in the day & 1 at night or layering them (they are all safe to be layered). However we suggest to always introduce new products into your routine slowly, one product at a time. This way, you are able to identify if your skin loves/hates the product. Some people have an allergic reaction to certain ingredients so as much as we want to layer more good stuff for better results, we should also be mindful that allergic reaction can happen to anyone and not everything works well for everyone's skin as we are all different.
Vitamin C affects cells on the inside and outside of the body. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition it found that vitamin C users are associated with a lower likelihood of a wrinkled appearance, dryness of the skin, and a better skin-aging appearance. Made of pure L-ascorbic acid, it triple-boosts the skin by helping to stimulate collagen production, provide antioxidant protection, and exfoliate the skin. The liposomal technology constructs a defense against moisture, oxygen, and other environmental factors which stabilizes Vitamin C and increases its penetration into the deeper layers of skin.
• Fights free radical damage for smooth, healthy skin
• Brightens skin, fades dark spots and defends against photodamage
• Helps minimize freckles and excess pigmentation

There’s a reason why vitamin C has become such a hot ingredient in recent years and that’s because it’s incredibly effective when it comes to brightening skin. In fact, women of color can especially benefit from it as it works to lighten and fade dark spots or hyperpigmentation, something that darker skin tones tend to be more prone to. This formula contains a powerful antioxidant that helps neutralize the free radicals that cause damage to your skin and fades sun spots, refines skin texture without any irritation. It also contains Ceramides in it to strengthen your skin barrier to prevent redness and irritation.

This serum contains 10 % Niacinamide - one of the highest I’ve personally seen in serums. Also known as vitamin B3 and nicotinamide, niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin that works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly minimize enlarged pores, tighten lax pores, improve uneven skin tone, soften fine lines and wrinkles, diminish dullness, and strengthen a weakened surface.
Whether your skin is sensitive, oily, or dry, you can safely use this niacinaimde serum to brighten up your face and improve your skin texture.

Arbutin is a plant-based compound that resembles synthetic hydroquinone but has a skin whitening effect with no side effects or risks, making arbutin safe and effective for people with sensitive and uneven skin tones. Arbutin is very effective in treating pigmentations, age spots and it can also inhibit the negative effects of UV-radiation thanks to its sun protection properties. Arbutin evens out skin tone and is also effective in treating acne scars. Arbutin can also be combined with other skincare ingredients to maximize its efficacy, for example, with an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) to exfoliate skin and facilitate its absorption of arbutin. When paired with Vitamin C, arbutin imparts even skin tone with improved radiance.

I usually try a new serum only after a month of using a product because results take some time to show. Many of us expect immediate and quick results but it is important to note that our skin renewal process takes approx 28 days and doesn't happen overnight. If you don't see results "overnight", remember that consistency is key. I recommend applying the above treatment toners/serums after double cleansing and exfoliating.
Remember to follow with a moisturizer. In the day, always remember to apply a good broad spectrum sunscreen to prevent further darkening of spots and formation of hyperpigmentation.
Try it and thank me later!
